Some questions you may have...
Do I need to book in advance, or can I just show up?
You need to prebook your spot either online or email us at info@morrisontours.ie if the walk is not online.
What should I wear/bring on a guided walk?
- Walking Boots/Shoes are a must, you’ll be walking 6-7 hours and the ground under foot is uncertain in places.
- (NO runners, converse, flip flops or sandals or any open foot wear)
- Denim or jeans are not to be worn. Spare socks and clothes, dress warm and comfortable (better to have too many layers ) It will be 10 degrees cooler at the summit.
- Waterproof/Windproof gear Sun Block (works for windburn too)
- Good packed Lunch and Snacks
- Hydration (Water)
Please note if you do not have proper walking boots/shoes we cannot start the walk.

How do I book a hike, and what payment methods do you accept?
- Carrauntoohil you can book online, all other walks please email us at info@morrisontours.ie
- We accept Credit Cards (Online) and Cash
Do you offer group discounts?
Yes, we offer discounts on groups of 10 or more please contact us info@morrisontours.ie
Do you offer Gift Vouchers?
Yes, you can buy these online.
What is your cancellation/refund policy?
We understand things happen and you may need to cancel your booking.
- 48 Hour cancellation, Full refund
- 24 Hour cancellation, 50% refund
- On the day cancellation – Non-refundable.
Do you offer private or group hikes?
We cater for:
- Individuals
- Families (children over 13 for Carrauntoohil)
- Groups
- Corporate
Accessibility & Special Requirements
Are your walks suitable for children or elderly participants?
Some lower mountains and trails are suitable for younger and older hikers but this will depend on each group or family so please check with us first info@morrisontours.ie
Can I bring my dog on the walk?
We love dogs but NO DOGS are permitted on any of our walks.
Weather & Safety
What happens if the weather is bad?
If we feel it is unsafe to continue or for the walk to go ahead at all we will contact you
Are the guides qualified?
- We only used qualified Mountain Guides/Leaders and all are trained in First Aid.
- We are a fully insured and licenced Guided Walk operator.
Local Knowledge & Extras
Do you recommend places to eat or visit after the tour?
We are happy to recommend local spots.
Can you arrange transport to/from the walk location?
No we do not offer this service but are happy to give you recommendations
Seasonal & Special Tours
Do you operate year-round, or are there seasonal closures?
We are open all year weather permitting. (Closed over Christmas and New Year annually).
Do you offer night walks, sunrise hikes, or special event tours?
Yes, we offer Sunrise and Sunset walks, pending weather and availability. Contact us on info@morrisontours.ie
